Winter has arrived

It's January...the depths of winter.

And, like everywhere in this grand nation, winter has arrived in Brentwood.
We have had this:

Frost on the lawn....

And then there's this:

Morning Fog.

But then,

It burns off...

And we have this....

Blue skies, not a cloud at all...

And,

There's this...

Why, it's practically sweater weather!!

Sorry, couldn't help myself.

Wo. Evil Jeni obviously wrote that. Sweet, kind, good Jeni would never have been so insensitive as to gloat.

hmph.

That's really all I have to say about that.

Yeah, I had to write about the weather too. I always want to but I try to resist.

I have to admit, this is the most pleasant winter I have had in 35 years.. and yes, that is how old I am. :) I am LOVING this no snow, kids outside, rarely a coat (ok, I still haven't worn one) weather. IT IS THE BEST!

I'm so jealous. We were excited when we saw the temperature here would be above freezing tomorrow. Granted, only 2 degrees, but that is still pretty exciting!

Enjoy the fog... I really miss it!

I love CA winter. I was freezing my butt off in Utah over the weekend. It's good to be home.

Jealous, party of one.

Although it is SOOOOO much fun to slide around and wreck your minivan on ice-covered streets.

Too bad you can't experience the joy!

It was 77 degrees the other day here and I walked around pouting. You aren't evil...you are grateful for your great weather...I am a pout. If I want to turn the AC on this early in the year and in the pregnancy all I can say is I am doomed...

but still pouting.

see...I never learn.

You are an evil, evil woman. I sit here trying to warm up, looking out my window at 2 feet of snow still on my lawn, bracing the fact that I have to leave the house in an hour, facing 20 degree weather.

ALL YOU PEOPLE IN CALIFORNIA SUCK!

P.S. Can I move in with you? :)

i'm jealous.

I bet this post won't make your daughter very happy. Cause I happen to KNOW for a fact...it's cold where she lives.

Yeah, I would give ANYTHING for that kind of a winter. It sucks here :( So cold and ice and snow everywhere, I am totally homesick now. Thanks Jeni ;)

Fog totally equals Christmas for me. That's what you get from growing up in the San Joaquing valley.

That and NO snow days.

So tell me Jeni Dear, how hard is it to shovel fog?

Jenibelle said...

Brigette, that's the beauty of living here, no shoveling!!

Skiing 2 hours Andrea.

It was 75 today, but rain is coming.

Fog IS totally Christmas. It's central valley snow. (I grew up in Modesto, just over the river from you Jessica!)

I love the snow!
I'm weird.

Sorry Jeni, Brentwood has nothing on San Diego! It was a very warm 80 degrees here today. I am wearing shorts to prove it.

Miss you!

Not liking you right now.

It's okay to brag. My turn: 88* here today in SoCal. We went to the beach after church yesterday. I actually miss winter. Who knew? I like wearing cozy clothes.

The picture of the fog is super beautiful.

First...... I LOVE the picture of the morning fog.

Second...... those of us who live in Idaho aka: the Frozen Tundra or Ice Planet Hoth, officially HATE Evil Jeni!
