Extreme Makeover--Free edition

Since my blog is all about ME...

Today, for the first time since I was about 12 (no exaggeration) I have not tucked my hair behind my ears. I guess this is a nervous habit or something, I tuck probably 50 times a day.
Seriously, I have worn my hair tucked behind my ears, in a pony tail, or up since I was 12. I have never gone 24 solid hours with my hair down around my face.

Well, today I did...and what a sensation it made. I can't believe HOW many people commented on my new haircut (which I did not get and haven't had since the week before the wedding and I have the solid gray roots to prove it!) Even my FAMILY asked when I got it cut. HELLO! I was with you guys all night and I didn't get up at 3:00 am to have it cut. People came from all over campus to see it saying that so and so said "you have to see Jeni's new hairdo!" All I did was wear frosted lipstick and not tuck it behind my ears. SO...tell me...does it look THAT different? Which is better?

A thank you to Celia who taught me how to have pictures taken so that my triple chin and wrinkles don't show so much.

HOLY COW JENI! You look like a hot mom! I love it! This is a hard habit to break. I too used to do this and literally had to force myself not to when I was in 9th grade.

I love the picture. I can't believe how different it makes you look. It makes you look skinny minny!

Maybe I should give it a try. I always pull my hair back, or tuck, too. Of course I'm ready to cut it all off right now cause it's getting bushy!

It does change your whole look! That is interesting! You are beautiful either way, but I think the un-tucked look makes you one hot mama!!

What a difference! And I mean that in a good way. Your hair looks fuller and thicker! Keep it un-tucked! Live on the wild side!

Yeah, but doesn't it touch your face all day and drive you nuts? I'm a tucker too, and I couldn't stop to change my life.

Great photo. Excellent angle. Did he stand on a chair or a table? I'm going to start carrying a ladder with me.

You are adorable either way!

I agree that the untucked is a great look on you though. I'd go with it.

Even when my hair is too short to tuck...I try to anyway. BAd habit.

You are so hot cha chahs! Seriously, that is an end of day photo?!?!?! I'd love to see what you look like before having to wrangle all those scantly clad girls all day. You are a beauty queen!

love the title. you kill me.

and it totally does give you a new look. that, plus celia's "from on high" photo technique.

i'm with celia. i can't stand to not tuck or use a pony because just feeling it on my face makes me feel all oily. plus, it makes my shoulders hurt, right between the scapula, most likely because i'm carrying myself differently trying to keep the hair sort of near a behind-the-ears position without actually tucking it. it's futile. go back to tucking and enjoy life.

unless, of course, your experience is nothing like mine. then untuck all you want and look hot.

I fell off the wagon and tucked. I'll feel bad for a day or two and try again. Sigh.

Jbelle, You look a LOT younger! And I'm not kidding. What are you now like 32?

If you want to get "LUCKY" then do the "untucky"!

So, I very much like it un-tucked. But if you don't want to worry all day about NOT tucking... maybe just save it for special occasions, parties, evenings out. Then you always look MORE spectacular than you normally already do.

You mean all that's been holding me back all these years was the hair tucked behind my ears?!

You look adorable either way, my dear.

I think it looks so great...and it does look different...hmmmmm...I guess not tucking it can make a huge difference...now you can wear it both ways and continue to be fabulous both ways. :)
