Farewell My Beloved....

My beloved, I will miss you.

You have been there for me through thin and thick....

We have taken many a vacation together...

You have sneaked into Girl's Camp and hid yourself beautifully under the table in our tent...

You are an essential part of every road trip, sitting there so stoically...

You have been there every day of my job, right by my side...

You have enjoyed dozens and dozens of dinners out with me...

You are there with me for every soccer game...

You are there when my family has deserted me to go places....

You have been there for late into the night projects...

Everyone knows of my great love for you and always finds a place for you when I am there...

After the birth of my children, you are what I wanted most...

You have taken ridicule with such grace....

You are truly a part of me....

But now,

For the sake of my body....
(such as it is)

My Beloved...

I must say adieu, give you up, toss you into the cold, cold world.

My Beloved...Goodbye.

I will miss you.

4 days...but who's counting?

Oooh, I admire you and don't know if I can do it. What was your inspiration??

So you're on the wagon?! Do you have to go to meetings?

I quit begrudingly a few years ago because I starting taking a migraine medication that makes all carbonation taste like sulfur. I still resent the fact that I gave it up against my will.

Good for you for doing it willingly! ☺

Remember how I was going to go to rehab for my Dr. P addiction? Um, yeah... not such good results.

Keep up the good work!

Guess you have to go cold turkey since there is no diet coke patch. We rarely keep the stuff in the house except when we order pizza. Good for you for throwing the junk away!

This is great J. As soon as I read the line about being under the table in your tent... I just knew what it was! As a youth, it didn't take long to know which tents had the "good stuff" in them... and oh, how I enjoyed achieving "leader" status and welcoming my own "table" into my tent! Good luck J... I know you can do it!

A little song I sing to my kids. To the tune of, "You can do it Cinderelly."

YOu can do it, you can do it, you can do it Jenibelly! There's nothing to it really (that parts a lie.)

You have done lots of tough things in your life. YOu can do this too. You are amazing!

Hang in there Jeni!!!

Good for you. Your farewell makes me glad my parents didn't have soda in the house very often, and never with caffeine. I'm a fan now of sprite, but anything else makes me bounce off the walls.

JBelle, WOW For a minute I thought you were talking about your mini van and you were trading in your "old friend" for a red sports car! Too bad it's not but I'm proud of you anyways for giving up the D.P. Give us a clue why? I am stuck on my Diet Mountain Dew (its called Mormon Coffee here in Utah) and I seem to need it in the afternoons. Tell us what gives??

Congrats Jeni!

Every morning around 10am my body starts to crave it...I am going to take your inspiration to heart and kick the habit too. I have even been shamed into it...a guy on my baseball team (a "NO-MO") offered me some coffee...when I declined he said, "Oh yeah thats right, you Mormons like your caffine cold..." ouch...truth hurts.

Was this tribute a part of a 12 step program?

At least it isn't chocolate you are giving up.

Or is it worse than giving up chocolate?
