What do you do when....

What do you do when you try to book a honeymoon cruise and find out that you can't go on your honeymoon of choice because....

a. your bride is too young according to the cruise line
b. you're too young to be the "adult" for your young bride.

If you are the kind, sweet, caring future mother-in-law you 'volunteer' to go with them!

If you are the future son-in-law you try to remain calm while you really want to say "ARE YOU FREAKIN' CRAZY!?!?!?

If you are the future bride you look at your mother with total disgust and say "Funny Mom."

If you are the mother and mother's friend Rachel you laugh and laugh and laugh.

Stay tuned for the saga of the honeymoon......

LOL! Yeah I am sure they would LOVE to have you go with them on their honeymoon! That would be...um...interesting for them!

been there. all you need to do is show them your marriage certificate and promise to avoid the casinos and not drink.

I can go with them. 28 is old enough to be the adult, right? Plus, they don't know me (unless I end up spending their whole wedding day with a camera in their faces!).

Which is why when I, at age 19, got married, didn't go on a honeymoon. Stupid cruise lines.

I can't believe that...now that is is an interesting predicament! Not funny for the bride and groom, though huh?

Hope you and Rachel are having a fabulous time together!

I was aged by the time I got married, but work (mine, not his - shockingly) prevented me from ever taking a real honeymoon. I'm still holding out for one.

I'm guessing that if they are too young for the cruise they are going to have trouble with the car rentals. My husband is 3 years younger than I am and for the first few years of our marriage I had to do all the car renting. Funny funny.

I wonder if Disney cruise lines would have the same problem with age since they don't have gambling on their cruises?

You offered me some email advice but because you took your email address down, I'm lost now. Send me a line at talonius[at]hotmail.com as I've got some questions for you about the special needs kiddos. THANKS!!!

There is always Rosie O's cruise line....okay, maybe not a good idea. I'm sure where there is a will there is a way.

I spent some of my honeymoon stranded in Swan Valley Idaho, because of a blizzard. We spent the night in a bar. The loco yocos will always have a special place in my heart. We enjoyed a night of watching drunkard karaoke. Good times.

I think we should still go! I don't think she'd ever forgive us.

Thanks for letting me share this past fun weekend with you and Lo. You both are coming when it's Maddie's turn!!!

Now why wouldn't they find that funny? I think it's hilarious.

Skip the cruise - go for some nice all-inclusive resort that doesn't move. Don't want to find out you get seasick in the middle of your honeymoon...
